Grey Dog

Grey Dog on Carmine. Turkey Sandwich with Brie and Raspberry Mustard. They call them "Michigan Sandwiches." I think that means that you're supposed to eat them. And I did.

Dos Caminos - SoHo

Expensive, but tasty. That's what i think about Dos Caminos. I had the Tacos en Cazuela (braised beef short ribs) and a couple of drinks. The bill came to about fifteen hundred dollars i think. But it was my first night in town and I was thirsty for something with tequila and lime and ice. And in a backwards sort of way, I kind of thought of this meal as a belated goodbye to Mexican food, since I'd just moved from San Francisco the day before without saying a proper farewell to my favorite tacos. Anyway. Like I said. Expensive, but tasty.

Monday, August 25th, 2008. Joe's Pizza, New York

Today is my first day in my new city. After a few minutes of thought, it was pretty clear it had to be some of this "pizza" I've been hearing so much about. And then I was at Joe's Pizza on Carmine St. stuffing a slice of pepperoni into my face. Crunchy, chewy, cheesy, salty, and tomato sauce-y. We're batting 1000.
